Mohamed "Abu" Abo arrived from Egypt with his gloves packed and found a ring — and a purpose — in Ostrzeszów. Winner of KBC Night 8 in boxing at -86 kg, he fights under his country's flag and trains under the flag of his home: Poland.

His real fight, though, happens outside the ring. Every week he coaches a new generation of Poles — children above all — who learn from him that kickboxing isn't about hitting, it's about getting back up: discipline, respect and confidence they carry to school and back home.
When his students come back from the Polish championships with trophies bigger than they are, Abu smiles wider than after any win of his own. He trains kids and adults, from the first glove to the first championship.
